Huawei Pura X View · The first phone built wide instead of tall, and it does not fold

Every phone you can buy is a tall, narrow rectangle. The Pura X View is not. Huawei took the wide screen its Pura X foldables open into, threw away the hinge and built it into an ordinary slab: a 16:9.5 OLED at 2232 × 1320 and 6500 nits, in a 6.68 mm body that weighs 201 g and still holds 7000 mAh. The full sheet is now official – Kirin 9030S, a 200 MP main camera, 66 W charging and the launch of HarmonyOS 7 – and it sells in China from ¥5,999, about €770. There is no global version.
